Lillie (Mrs. W.R.) Norton Administration 1929-1931

While Norton was in office as President of the Woman’s Monday Club:

  • Monday Club won prize for the greatest work done by an club in the Fifth District in the Scholarship Loan Fund. This was won by creating a five hundred dollar Education fund, to be used as a Student Loan Fund.

  • Three-five dollar gold pieces were given to Mexican graduates at the New High School.

  • Club voted to place a bronze plate on the zero mile stone in Artesian Park.

  • Woman's Monday Club moved to be a Patron in the T.F. Headquarters in Austin.

  • Club to inspect Dairies in C. C. Committee appointed.

  • W.M.C. won prize of $10.00 from President's Council of C.C. for turning in most cash on Recital course.

  • State Art Exhibit brought to C.C. by W.M.C.
