Monday Club Members and Friends :

We have come together today to show our love and loyalty for our leader.  The pleasure

and joys of our group have been enhanced, while the tasks and necessary burdens have been lightened, because of our president’s willingness to share each problem.

An everlasting friendship has been formed, which is beautifully expressed in the following poem:

“Friendship is a chain of gold

Shaped in God’s all perfect mold;

Each link a smile, a laugh, a tear,

A grip of the hand, a word of cheer.

As steadfast as the ages roll,

Binding closer soul to soul;

No matter how far, or heavy the load,

Sweet is the journey on Friendship’s Road.”

Mrs. Lichenstein, the club takes great pleasure in presenting to you this gift as a token of appreciation.  Each name autographed in this little book is a link in the chain of friendship, so closely formed during the past years of work and pleasure.  May other links be added and the chain grow stronger from year to year.
